Our Services

What is Pediatric Occupational Therapy?

Pediatric occupational therapists help children participate in their daily occupations, such as playing, self-cares, and transitioning between daily tasks. We aim to address any barriers that may be interfering with a child’s independence with their daily routines. Some examples of these barriers include developmental delays and differences, difficulty with sensory processing and emotional regulation, and delayed gross/fine motor skills. See below for more information about our therapy approach.

Our Approach

Rooted Together provides holistic and individualized OT services to help your child and family gain the skills and confidence needed for independence in your daily routines. Therapy sessions take place in the comfort of your own home, which provides a safe and familiar environment for your child to learn new skills. Our services are tailored to each child and their family, with an emphasis on meeting a child where they are at developmentally.

Our in-home services also have a strong focus on providing support to caregivers to ensure they feel equipped to practice strategies independently outside of our session times. We also offer the opportunity to collaborate with other members of your child’s care team, such as speech-language pathologists, physical therapists, and mental health providers. We know we are only a part of a child’s journey, and we believe in the value of learning and growing together as a team.
